For sanitation concerns, members and visitors are reminded that
dogs are not permitted in the food building. Dogs are permitted on the show grounds as long as they are on a leash and
any feces are promptly cleaned up. No animal or camper waste is to be left on the show grounds.
The barn is to be repainted red after repairs to the roof, siding and
floor are completed this summer.
Several flea market
spaces (20X28 ft.) remain available for the Fall show at $20 per space. Interested persons should call
Ira Lessman at (570) 374-6591.
The possibility of having
a "Tractor Ride" on the back roads starting at and returning to our show grounds was explored as a new
event in 2010 to attract additional visitors (and new members), but concerns over traffic safety at intersections on the routes
surveyed have caused its cancellation for the 2010 show season.
The
purchase of three wagons for use at the show grounds, including hay rides was authorized at the July 2010 monthly meeting.
Volunteer help will be needed to modify (steps and safety rails) the first wagon for the Fall Show.
The Association thanks the many members who volunteered their time to
make the 2010 Spring Show a success.
